Stress or smile

Today’s Words of Wisdom were actually inspired by a “moment” I was having myself earlier this morning…

With SO MUCH going on in my mind I was in a state of overwhelm and anxiety… My pending trip to the US and all I need to do for that, all my VIPs (I am always thinking of you guys!), an upcoming gig with The Smith Family, a presentation next week for a Healthy Bones Forum, bills that need paying, paperwork that needs tending to, calls I need to return, the newsletter due out today… etc etc…..!

I’m sure I am not alone in having these moments…. (Yes, I agree, a LIST would help!)

And in a moment of trying to find my calm, my centre, my serenity, it occurred to me that I could just as easily LAUGH at these maddening, crazy, nagging thoughts….

HONESTLY….! Why was I taking them so seriously!?

Why was I frowning about it all? Feeling burdened, panicked, heavy, GUILTY even??

I often laugh and smile at the antics of the mind, and our humaness…. We often get so caught up in SERIOUSNESS….! Almost as if we THRIVE off drama and stress….

Well! I fairly quickly nipped that one in the bud and thought to share this moment of clarity and insight with you 🙂

Truly…..

It IS our choice!

STRESS or SMILE!

They both are within OUR control….

Retrain yourself to smile and laugh at all that stresses you….

Remind yourself that you CAN handle ANY obstacle that comes your way, ANY challenge or problem that may intercept your path….

AND furthermore, all these wonderful little HURDLES are merely growth opportunities in disguise….

The equipment in the PLAYGROUND of the school of life….!

WELCOME it all in 🙂

Breathe…. Relax….. (Write a list)…..Call a friend….Ask for help….

You are VERY MUCH LOVED and you are BEYOND CAPABLE 🙂
