This month I have included two quotes as I love them both and they are each very profound in their simplicity.
Read them carefully and consider what meaning, if any, they may hold for you.
“‘I can’t do it’ never yet accomplished anything;
‘I will try’ has performed wonders.”
– George P. Burnham
“You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”
The first one is particularly relevant to any health goal you may have set yourself recently. Remember practice makes perfect and it is only by practicing over and over that we become able to perform any task.
Think of learning to play a guitar. You cannot (unless you are some superhuman freak of nature) pick up a guitar and know how to play it. You must practice. Daily of you want to be good at it sooner!
This same idea applies to any health goal we may set ourselves. E.g. drinking the recommended 3 litres of water. Just make it a goal to practice- everyday, until it is learned and an ingrained habit 🙂 It is possible!
Think “progress, not perfection!” (Thanks George! ;p)
The second one is an important reminder for us all….How many of us treat ourselves truly well? If you had a friend who talked to you the way you sometimes talk to yourself, would you like to continue spending time with that person? Think about it. It is only through loving yourself that you will respect yourself enough to put you first and look after yourself! 🙂
I hope this months quotes resonated with you and topped up your soul motivation 🙂
Until next month, keep well 🙂
